Royal Bird

This is an Eastern Kingbird.

It’s a truly royal specie! It is very territorial. The size of intruder doesn’t matter. Kingbirds were seen defending their nest against hawks and all kinds of vultures.

In winter, these guys migrate to South America.

But, for now, as seen on the photo we made in the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, our little friend enjoys the summer in Massachusetts.
