Powerful Flyweight Krishchishin
The cover photo of our History in Color series depicts Olympic press lift by brilliant Soviet flyweight Vladislav Krishchishin of Lvov, Ukraine.
Vladislav Krishchishin (1946-2001) was a World champion (1969), European Champion (1969, 1970) and USSR champion (1969).
He set 15 world records.
After retirement from sports, he worked as a dentist.
One more interesting fact from history. The table below dispays all world records in the press lift in the 52kg weight class:

There were only two flyweigh athletes in the world records history of the Olympic press lift – Adam Gnatov and Vladislav Krishchishin! Please note that both lived and competed for Lvov, Ukraine! Hope they didn’t live on the same street.
