Jan Talts: Weightlifting Champion And a Gentleman

The black-and-white original for this History in Color photo of Olympic champion Jan Talts of Tallinn, Estonia was marked as “Jan Talts and friends in the restaurant in Tallinn. April 1968”.

Not sure about plural friends here, but the manners of the champion of the 1960s seem to be impressive.

Nowadays smoking in the restaurants is a forgotten thing from Hollywood flicks of the past decades. Manners changed too.

One thing remains stable – weightlifting champions are sill the best dates.

Or maybe this changed too. I am totally out of touch on this one.
