Jean-Pierre Van Lerberghe (Belgium, 3rd place), David Rigert (USSR, 1st place), Geza Toth (Hungary, 2nd place)
At the tournament, 23-year old Rigert managed to set world records in clean-and-jerk (203kg) and in total (542.5kg). Those were the 2nd and 3rd world records in his career. Overall, David Rigert mastered 65 world records in his career.
