Olympic Games, Melbourne, Australia, 1956: One of the best lifters in the history of Olympic weightlifting Tommy Kono (USA) wins his second gold medal at the Summer Olympics. This time it was in the light heavyweight class. Fours years before this, Kono won light weight gold medal at the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki. Four years later, Kono will win his third medal at the Olympics - silver medal in the middleweight in Rome in 1960.
