Vladimir Stogov, USSR

World Championship, Budapest, Hungary, 1962: One of the strogest bantamweights of the 1950s and early 1960s, Vladimir Stogov (USSR) earns a bronze medal on his last World Championsip in Hungary. Like most of the Soviet lifters of his era, Stogov used a split style in both snatch and clean lift. In his career, he won five World gold medals, silver Olympic medal in 1956 and set eight world records.
