Pete .... just found this. Be great to make contact!

I retired young for three reasons. 1. I had great difficulty bending my right knee after that 212.5 kilo clean and jerk. 2. I never loved competing anyway. Too nerve wracking. 3. There was one member of the team (naming no names) that I found to be too obnoxious when abroad at internationals with him.

The picture is of my older brother.I did a clean and jerk of 212.5 kilos in competition in summer 1985, aged 24. To the best of my knowledge that has not been exceeded by any Englishman still. Good to hear from my old friend Mark Naylor-Vane.

Hi. I agree with Ted. I think the pic is of Steve, Peters older brother. I checked your picture of Steve Pinsent and the picture is of Peter. I was good friends with Peter at senior school so know his profile well.

Yes,I believe that is Steve , the little brother ! Peter went as high as 212.5 Kg in the jerk at 100kg I think around the early 80's which was a British absolute record then , but he had a short competitive career ,

I think the picture is his brother Steve who lifted mainly in the 75kg class.
