Jaan Talts’ final total was 587.5kg (207.5+160+220) and he set 3 world records that night – press 207.5kg, cj 220kg and total 587.5kg.

Pavel Pervushin of Leningrad, Russia and Vladimir Golovanov of Khabarovsk, Russia won silver and bronze medals accordingly.
