One of the best sources of information is IWF's statistics 1997-2007 link, 'http://www.iwf.net/doc/statistics/WORLD_CHAMP_SENIOR_001_146.PDF'. In 1999 Tudor Casapu lifted 140 in snatch and bummed at 185 clean!

Does anybody know if Kassapu received a life ban for his doping violations in 1995? I found several sources which report that he has, but i couldn't find anything on a first positive test. It also seems that he has competed one last time at the WWC 1999 in Athens. Does anybody have more information?
