Victor Zinger was considered one of the most reliable Soviet goaltenders of the 1960's. He was arguably one of the key players in the Soviet international successes of that time. Zinger was famous for his "butterfly" style in the net featuring phenomenal reflexes and sense of opponents' moves. He won 3 national championships with his home team, Spartak Moscow, and enjoyed enormous respect among his teammates, coaches and fans. His mastery of goalie's craft and successes in both national and international tournaments made him one of the most prominent elite goalies in Russian hockey history.
