"The series ended with 3000 Canadian fans standing tall, full of pride, eyes filled with tears singing O Canada like I've never heard it sung before or ever will again. I shall cherish that moment forever."

Before breaking into the National Hockey League, Brian Glennie spent his junior years playing amateur hockey in Toronto and had an experience against the Soviet team at the Olympics in 1968. He was known as a strong bodychecker and promising defensive blueliner. His NHL career wasn’t spectacular and his selection to play with team Canada in the 1972 Summit is arguably considered the biggest honors he received in professional hockey.
